Jom Berbahasa Isyarat
An Inspire Initiative Project
For many of us, we speak as a means of conveying our ideas, thoughts, and emotions. What if we could share those thoughts, stories, and dreams in another way, to surpass the barrier that is our voice?
Join us on the 24th of August to learn how the deaf community utilizes sign language in their everyday lives.
Back in December we at Charisma asked ourselves: "How can we be on the ground, supporting events that actually matter?"
The answer was simple, to provide a platform for events organised by the public; no agendas, no hidden purposes, just plain inspiring.
One event that stuck out to us was aimed to help educate Malaysians on sign language, and shed light on the deaf community. Upon hearing the pitch, what did we do?
We got down to work.
"Sign language is a visual language that is fun and easy to learn. We hope that this event could help you know a bit more about the Deaf community in Malaysia; you will be able to learn some basic Malaysian Sign Language (Bahasa Isyarat Malaysia) too!"
