Project Teringai Tumunda 2019
Here's a video on the most recent Project Teringai Tumunda taking place in SK Tumunda, Kota Marudu Sabah
Project Teringai Tumunda
Having been held since our establishment in 2011, Project Teringai Tumunda aims to promote the importance of education and health via conducting lessons and workshops for the primary school students of the local schools, SK Temuno Teringai Darat & SK Tumunda Salimandut
Accomplish Great Things
Over the past five years, Project Teringai-Tumunda has been working closely with Rotary Club of Kota Kinabalu, sending groups of student volunteers to the respective schools.
Volunteers will be involved in mentoring Primary Six students, guiding & preparing them for their upcoming UPSR examination, carrying out team building activities and bringing joy & fun to the school children! After school hours, you will also find yourself surrounded by a wonderful team of like-minded individuals with whom you will forge long lasting friendships, exchange stories, and build unforgettable memories.
Champion the Cause
YOU may be the reason why a student decides to further their studies, realising the importance of education.
Be the change you want to see!
Project Recruitment is now CLOSED.
We'll be back next year. Keep your eye on us by following our social medias so that you won't miss out!
"I would trade anything to go back to Sabah, that’s for sure. I had so much fun being there but most important here is to reflect and take a look around the community and see what we can contribute in order to make the lives of the rural people better. I would share my experience in Sabah with as many people as possible so we can finally achieve our goal of eradicating education inequality that is quite critical here in Malaysia."
Fawwaz, Volunteer (Tumunda 2019)
"Undeniably, coming here has deepen my understanding into the rural-urban divide; but realising that the small actions we took could have made an impact – no matter how big or small – on the kids here has made me more eager than before to want to do more for my society."
Suchi Chai, Volunteer (Tumunda 2018)
"I came with the aim to teach and inspire the kids, but surprisingly, I was the one who left being inspired by them and learnt so much from them in unimaginable ways."
