To me, DAM was beneficial in terms of providing the basic skills of volunteerism like problem solving and time management but removes a significant one which is to connect with the beneficiaries. I was lucky to have team members that were helpful and hardworking despite their other commitments. The project officers were also accommodating and made sure everything was moving along fine. I definitely had a fruitful summer thanks to DAM despite having to stay at home every step of the way.
