Our Friends
Teach For Malaysia

Mobilising a movement of leaders to empower our nation through education.
Through our two-year Leadership Development Program, we focus on ending educational inequity in Malaysia and supporting those who are currently least well served by the education system. We believe in the value and leadership of every young person, and their right to an excellent education. And we believe that an excellent education goes beyond just achieving grades, it is also about empowering young people with the skills, knowledge and voice they need to build a prosperous and ethical nation.
Sea Turtle Research Unit (SEATRU) - UMT

Nurturing Turtles, Connecting People
SEATRU has celebrated 25 years of hands-on conservation work at the Chagar Hutang Turtle Sanctuary on Redang Island. Ever since our establishment in 1993, the Chagar Hutang Field Research Station has hosted a multitude of researchers, volunteers, interns, post- and undergraduate students and school groups, in an effort to become leaders in its three core businesses of Conservation, Research and Outreach, revolving around Malaysia’s sea turtles.
The ‘business’ of conserving sea turtles is far from being a one-man show. In line with our resolution of “Nurturing Turtles, Connecting People“, we continue to reach out to local communities, pupils, tourists and the general public in order to create awareness about the plight of these millennia-old creatures and how simple changes in one’s daily life can make an enormous difference in ensuring their future survival.
